Warriors Don't Cry is the true story of Melba Pattilo, one of the Little Rock Nine who integrated Central High School during the Civil Rights Movement. This memoir will coincide with our study of the Civil Rights Movement in English class and will allow us to read a personal and informational story from the movement. We'll be focusing on the decisions Melba makes to develop her memoir as well as the idea of bias and fact vs. opinion and of course theme and character development.
